CV-35/36/37/38

CV-35 DEBUGGER-3 

Function Description:

* CV-35 is the development of DEBUGGER-2 CARD model: CV-21, 21E, 21D, 21DE.

* Suitable for PC XT/286/386/486/586/PII/PIII... compatible system.

* LED inductor: RST(RESET DRV), RDY(I/O CHECK READY), MEMR, MEMW,

IOR, IOW, VCC, GND, -5V, +12V, -12V.

* 8BIT DATA read/write function display in ERROR CODE DIGITs position.

* Define address function:

(1) Can define DECODE ADDRESS from 00000H to FFFFFH.

(2) Can choose I/O PORT or MEMORY PORTS decode.

(3) Can check I/O PORT or MEMORY PORT read/write code to motherboard,

ADD_ON cards and Software debug.

* Latch Function: when SETUP VALUE = DATA VALUE --> LATCH.

* Offer RUN(RUN READ/WRITE) execute data read/write function or SEL(SELECT

.LATCH) execute latch function;

(1) Debug motherboard, can use RUN(run data read/write) function:

Setup CV-35 at I/O PORT 80H position, when power on, CV-35 will read CHECK POINT

value from BIOS, compare with BIOS ERROR CODE MESSAGE, will know defective position.

(2) Debug motherboard, can use SEL(LATCH) function:

Use two pieces DEBUGGERs to compare motherboard circuit signals for repairing.

* ADD_ON card debug:

(1) Connect ADD_ON card's D-SUB connector to RS-232 TESTER or CHECK TESTER.

(2) Setup I/O PORT address.

(3) Run read/write command, compare data code of CV-35 and ADD_ON card, will know

.ADD_ON card decode circuit and data read/write circuit correct or not.

* Software Debug:

Use CV-35 for software program CHECK POINT display, can WRITE/READ value to it,

no need to interrupt program execution.

CV-36 DEBUGGER-3 

Function Description:

* CV-36 is the development of DEBUGGER-3 CARD model: CV-31, 32, 33.

* Most functions same as CV-35, addition step by step trace function.

* With two STEP by STEP trace methods, NORmal(man) and AUTO step.

* Step by step operation:

Use LED display A0-A19(ADDRESS BUS) and D0-D7(DATA BUS) in Binary code.

* Step by step(trace) function:

(1) When ERROR CODE display nonsense code 00 or FF, can use CV-36 to check

ADDRESS BUS and DATA BUS circuit signals correct or not.

(2) Can trace BIOS operation step by step.

(3) Can check ADDRESS BUS or DATA BUS circuit open/short or not.

(4) Can check ADDRESS BUS or DATA BUS shortage with other signals or not.

(5) Will know real address when system halted.

* It also can do step by step trace function after latch.

CV-37 DEBUGGER-3 

* All functions, operations, testing same as CV-36.

* Difference:

DIGITs display ADDRESS BUS and DATA BUS codes in hexadecimal for easy view.

CV-38 DEBUGGER-3 

* All functions, operations, testing same as CV-36.

* Difference:

With LED and DIGITs synchronous display ADDRESS BUS and DATA BUS, easier to

know all the status.
